... that Irish New Age singer Enya has an asteroid named after her?

Asteroid 6433 Enya is located in the Asteroid Belt (between Mars and Jupiter), and has an orbital period of 3.69 years.

At aphelion (the farthest point in its orbit), 6433 Enya is roughly 434.8 million km from the Sun. At perihelion (the closest point in its orbit), it’s 279.7 million km from the Sun.

6433 Enya was discovered in 1978 by Czech astronomer Antonin Mrkos, former director of the Klet' Observatory. It is just one of the 273 asteroids credited to him. He is also credited, individually and jointly, with the discovery of thirteen comets.

Asteroid 1832 Mrkos was named in his memory.

Other performers who have been honored with asteroids include Aretha Franklin, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Louis Armstrong, Pink Floyd, Simon & Garfunkel, and The Rolling Stones.

I wonder if the stars sign
The life that is to be mine,
And would they let their light shine
Enough for me to follow.
I look up to the heavens,
But night has clouded over.
No spark of constellation;
No Vela, no Orion.
